Naruto (Anime, Manga)

Alright, this is my first time doing this so please bear with me if I get anything wrong. : )
Anyway, many of you probably know of Naruto from Cartoon Network. From what I've seen, Naruto is one of the most popular anime/manga in America right now or at least in my area. It is written by Masashi Kishimoto and published by VIZ Media LLC. The story revolves around a lone young ninja trying to make himself known by becoming the leader of his village. I personally have watched and read this, and I can easily say there is a reason it is so popular. It may start off slow for some, but it quickly picks up. Naruto is a VERY long story, and is still going on. The 28th manga actually starts a time skip in the story, but they have yet to reach that point in the anime in America.

The anime in Japan has actually gotten past the time skip, renaming it Naruto: Shippuden. Hopefully, that will be coming to the U.S. soon, so we can skip all the filler that they put in after what would be after number 27 of the manga and before number 28.

XXXHolic (Anime, Manga)


K this was a mite tricky because the storyline crosses over with a few other CLAMP series (Clamp is a manga group) The most notable are: Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle which was written in tandem with it, and Cardcaptor Sakura, whose history it draws on at several points.

There are 13 and counting Manga Volumes. The Anime was produced by a couple companies and so doesn't stay quiet on point with the Plot. So to combate confussion I'd read that first. I didn't however and still liked the Anime anyway. Liked it a LOT actually and will now be reading the books (I think Aaron already has been, he might be able to shine a bit more on to this then I can)


Oh by the by, its pronounced 'Holic' you don't have to say all those X's

Novel: xxxHOLiC: AnotherHOLiC - Odd little thing about this. Its supposed to be a Manga collection, and it FAILS magnificanlty. It only has 3 of the stories, and for once the Anime tells it better!! Apparently only Yuko and Watanuki appear, and there is hardly any supernaturalish stuff! Read it if you must but I know I'm taking a pass.

Clamp Double Feature: Tsubasa Chronicle and xxxHOLiC (2008) (This be the xxxHolic movie!! Watch it before the second season. You may be able to find the Movie attached to a Complete Collection of xxxHolic, I know I did. However I got mine from the Treasure Trove {i have a link} and haven't been able to find that particular colletion anywhere else)
The first season of the xxxHolic anime was relatively loyal to the comic's timeline, whereas Kei has episodes which concentrated on the backgrounds of some of the smaller arcs in the xxxHolic manga

Second Season: Kei

Vol. 1-Xxxholic Tsugi DVD (I think this is the first volume, it wasn't being very helpful)

OVA 2 Episodes xxxHOLiC Shunmuki ~ K can't find these either I bet you anything they are attached to DVD 5 or something -it has 2 discs while the others have 1- If anyone knows please share with the class.
